#Blog | "Name My Song" Contest
Calling all fans, friends & would-be songwriters! I need your help in writing my next song. I find myself spread a bit too thin as of late to come up with anything for a new song I wrote earlier this week. At one time or another we have though, heard or saw something that made us think to ourselves - "Hey, that would be a great title for a song!" I need you to gather all those kind of thoughts and post them here so I can harvest one to be the title of my new song.
"So what do I get if you choose my song title, Wolfgang?" The winner of this contest will have their name immortalized in the title of the song. For example, Let's say your name is Sara and your contest title entry is "The Greatest Love of All". The song I have written would now be called: "The Greatest Love of All (Sara's Song)". But there is more! If you send along lyrics to go with your song title and i use those, I will share writers credit on the song with you. Which means that should the song sell a million copies, you would recieve a share of that revenue.
Now for a bit about the song. The music is a kind of haunting ballad that brings to mind the emotions of desire, want, need and love. I was going to post the music but then I decided that using the description of the music would be better to spark your imaginations.
All you need to do to enter the contest is to simply post your title or lyrics with title in a comment to this blog post. The contest starts today and will run until Friday, September 10th 2010. The winner will be announed on Twitter for #MusicMonday on September 13th.
