I have a confession to make. I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew. My plan to record a solo CD while working on & writing songs for the band is not going quite like I hoped it would. The main reason for this "hitch in the giddyup" is time and money. A combination of two things that I have had to rage against all my life. A wonderous maze every serious musician finds themself in from one time or another. Why you may ask? Becuase to record in a studio you need money. How do you get that money? by working which leads to less time available to prepare for your time at the studio. This is the circle I find myself always spinning in ... around & around & around.
Good news is I have several songs close to completion for my solo CD. All songs have new instruments & vocals recorded. I am currently working on mixing them all at the same time. This mixing process is taking longer than I thought. The reason being is that while I like a final mix of a song one day, the next day I hate it. Oddly enough I find being the judge of my own music to be way more difficult.
